Before we get started, let me explain a few things because you're likely still new to hypnosis. Please note: These scripts and more about hypnosis will soon be on a dedicated website, but for now they will be connected with Honestly Laura.
As I've mentioned on my FB page (HAPPINESS AND HYPNOSIS), there are 3 ways to hypnotize yourself: Relax, Read, and Record. This particular script is adapted for read-aloud to yourself.
The anatomy of a "script" is induction (enabling you to relax so you are more susceptible to positive suggestions), the body of the script (suggestions based on changes you'd like to make), and wake-up (words to reaffirm your ability to attentively re-join your world fully aware again).
The following script is one you should read aloud (softly and slowly) as it is designed for that purpose in mind. Find a comfortable spot for 20-30 minutes of uninterrupted time. This is tough I know, but do it a few days and it sinks in. The encouraging aspect about hypnosis is you feel the difference sometimes after just one session- and when you don't feel the difference you know that you're truly not in a comfortable uninterrupted space (this is important). Let's make it a habit you want to instill!
SCRIPT: I suggest printing on paper and reading aloud. No devices preferably (not very relaxing).
Feeling a sense of comfort and contentment, I allow the sound of my voice to soothe my mind and body. With every word I read and every sound I utter, I feel more relaxed and at peace. Moment by moment my mind calms itself to resemble the surface of a quiet and calm mountain lake.
I will use my imagination to relax more deeply while I read. I imagine I am sitting on a comfortable chair on a beautiful beach. I can see the golden sand that surrounds me as the waves crash on shore. Gentle and rhythmic sounds.
A moist sea breeze passes over my body. the warm sun soothes my skin, allowing me to let go of tension from the day. All of my thoughts seem to quiet down now. I turn my attention to the warmth on my face...relaxing my cheeks, the muscles around my jaw, and down to my neck. The healing light seems to caress me where it is needed most.
The words are flowing out of my mouth and pass over my body. It feels like tiny fingers massaging my tension away. I can feel my shoulders and upper back relax into the warmth. Waves of warmth and relaxation cascade down my body- down my arms and out through my fingertips.
I mentally scan my hips, pelvis, and legs. I let go of any tension in these areas. The warmth flows down to my toes and passes every muscle, gently relaxing my entire body. I can feel the relaxation now. I know I am relaxed. Every part of me is comfortable.
Now the light and warmth fade as I focus inward. I begin to think of myself as relaxed and sure of myself. I see myself as a mirror like image reflected back at me. Using my imagination again, I can see numbers forming in my mind.
One: I relax deeper.
Two: Going down beneath the surface, inward. Myself. Relaxing deeper with every number.
Three: By the time I reach ten I will be in a relaxed hypnotized state.
Four: I will be in this state perfectly even as I read these words with my eyes open.
Five: I feel myself descending, deeper....smoothly...effortlessly.
Six: I feel a deeper peace.
Seven: Going deeper. Feeling tranquil and very relaxed now.
Eight: I am safe. I feel calm. Deeper down.
Nine: I allow myself to easily enter hypnosis with eyes open. Still relaxed.
Ten: I have arrived at the relaxed state of mind and body I desired to achieve.
I am ready to eliminate anxious or nervous feelings throughout the day.
I feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the day. I let go of the tension in my mind and body. I now am aware of it when it occurs and know how to release it when I feel it.
I am aware of every time I hold excess tension in my body. I know how to release it.
I become aware of it and instantly take a deep breath to calm my body. turn the tension into the sun's warmth. I release the breath and relax the tension. As my body relaxes I instantly feel better.
By letting go of tension, I let go of anxious, stressed feelings.
I feel relaxed and focused when dealing with my obligations each day. I feel totally comfortable dealing with people and my relationships. I feel more optimistic about my plans because the anxiety is evaporating like water drops under the sun's warmth.
My body is becoming healthier as I know how to deal with people, places, and events in my daily life. I take the time to enjoy more.
I imagine feeling relaxed upon awakening and starting my day. I picture myself stretching and yawning with a deep peace about the day ahead. Feeling refreshed and free of the stress. Looking forward to the day ahead. Feeling good to free myself of worry and anxiety.
As I begin each day, I wash myself of the emotions that get trapped inside me. I cleanse my outer body and my inner. I feel clean, orderly, and positive.
There is an underlying sense of peace in every part of my body. Worry and anxiety have been washed down the drain. I feel happy and tranquil to begin my day. I choose to feel relaxed as I go about my day.
When I observe anxiety or stress in my body or worry in my mind, I tighten a fist, slowly count to three, and release it as I let go of tension. My first feeling is comfortable and relaxed. I feel perfectly at ease and draw in more easy breaths throughout my day.
I will awaken from my hypnotic state to one of full awareness by counting to five. When I reach five I become fully alert and wide awake.
One: Beginning to awaken from hypnosis.
Two: Becoming aware of my surroundings.
Three: Feeling satisfied, safe, and comfortable.
Four: Looking forward to the positive results from hypnosis and each hypnosis session to follow this one.
Five: Now wide awake and fully alert.

Everybody needs to express themselves in some form- mine happens to be written form...with an opinion. Strong opinions can be useful to others. Those who were undecided or ambivalent can just adopt your stance or gain an ability to formulate their own. Those who disagree can solidify, defend, and empower their stance.
